The Good: I was accepted to the 2008 Rutgers One on One Conference for kidlit writers! Yay! You can read my review of last year's conference here.
The Bad: Ron Rosenbaum at Slate is an unfunny goober. Some excellent responses here and here. Puzzling rocks!

Rutgers 2: The Reaping
Congratulations! Knock 'em dead! Entice them with your first sentence!
Thanks, Sam!
How's this?
"It was a stormy and dark night...."
A little twist on one of your old favs.
All right! Hope all goes well at Rutgers!
Thanks, Danette! Good to hear from you!
Question: I know this was a while ago, but in this post http://justlikethenut.blogspot.com/2007/09/this-is-nuts.html) you have a list of things people googled that led them to your site. How did you find that info? My husband wants to put it on his blog. Thanks!
Hey, Lauren! Have him go to sitemeter.com and add the Site Meter icon to his site. Then he can check all kinds of stats, including the search terms that lead people to his site.
I'm no techie, but as I recall, Site Meter walks you through the process pretty easily. And it's free.
If you scroll to the bottom of my sidebar, you'll see my icon. If you click on it, you can check out my (remarkably unimpressive) stats and see how the reports work.
Good luck!!
