Decided to check on my blog's rating to see whether it has changed since my earlier post.
Um. So. Here's my new rating:
This rating was determined based on the presence of the following words:
poop (5x)
suicide (3x)
pain (1x)
Gee, thanks, Sam. Last time I review one of your books!

This made me smile. I've lately been trying to create a profile page on Amazon.com, and part of my content keeps being rejected for "profanity." I have learned that Amazon bans the use of numbers under 13--as in the phrase "I taught seventh and eighth grade English"--as part of their efforts to keep kids safe.
Keep keepin' on!

Hi, Pamela! Wow, that's weird! Glad to hear Amazon is being proactive but that seems a bit ridiculous!
Linda,
I saw that Sam was at the Decatur Book Festival but I didn't see him and I meant to go listen to him just for you, but things got away from me - sorry -
And shame on him for changing your rating. I wonder if mine has changed recently.
May go back and recheck - thanks E :)
D'oh ... sorry you didn't hook up, that would've been cool. How was the festival? You should blog about it, I'd love to hear more!
Linda,
You may even get more hits now that you're so risque!
I didn't know blogs were rated. I clicked on your icon and found that my blog is PG because of these words:
punch(2x) and kill(1x). I used "kill" in a book review, but I can't for the life of me remember who I punched.
whom I punched. Okay, that's better.
Yes, this blog is nothing if not risque! Mothers, cover your children's eyes!
Regarding the "punch," maybe you were saying your writing (or the writing of someone you reviewed) packs a punch?
I'll have to figure out how to work that into a future post so I can maintain my Restricted status! Who knows, maybe with a few "punches" and another "poop" or two, I could become known as the first X-Rated Children's Mystery Writer Blogger!
Something is clearly wrong here; ours over at Digital Camel has garnered the rating of "G". I find that a little hard to believe. BTW, thanks for letting your husband come out this weekend, el Jefe and I had a blast.
Ah, Kevin, you and your little Mickey Mouse Club blog! How cute!
And ... thanks for having him, sounds as though y'all showed him a great time!
Oh my gosh, Linda, if poop gets you in trouble, what about fart?
I'm still at a G rating - and those things are just for fun anyway -
I like doing some of them and posting - and Linda, thanks for reminding to blog about the festival. I'm waiting on some pics of characters (my kids got dressed up on Saturday as Frog & Toad) and then Sunday - we had Biscuit (no picture that I'm aware of was taken), Maisey the mouse, and Frog and Toad again (my son was toad again but daughter didn't do it) - so see you all in the postings - E :)
